The Melbourne Cup is run on the first Tuesday in November at Flemington Racecourse. The race distance is 3,200 metres with the best 3 year old and over race horses competing for $6 million in prize money.
I have always been a big fan of horse races so when I heard that a huge horse race was going to be happening I was very excited. I took my husband to the horse races with me and we bet several times. We won a little here and there but then we bet on the last one. I ended up winning quite a bit of money from my bet. The Melbourne Cup was awarded to the horse race winner and it was a very exciting time. I was very happy that the horse and the owner won this award and enjoyed the races.
