They also runs the national competition in Australia and awards the championships. The rugby league season runs from the fall to the spring in Australia. At the end of the season the premiereship is decided by one big game. The winner of that game goes on to play against winners in other leagues. In Australia the Grand Final is the most watched game, and actually is one of the most watched and attended games in the clubs worldwide.

They set the rules, and they arrange for the teams to play with teams in leagues around the world. They have some of the most popular teams in the country, including New Zealand, since there is a team in N.Z. People are passionate about their teams and about who they support. They watch it, they cheer about it, they discuss their teams and the games.
