About Six Nations

The Six Nations rugby series is played once a year by the six best European rugby nations. England, France, Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Italy all play each twice (home and away) with the most wins being crowned the champion.

The Six Nations Championship is an annual rugby competition that is held for top International rugby teams. For sponsorship reasons, this event is also referred to as the RBS 6 Nations (because it has a better ring to it perhaps?). The Royal bank of Scotland is he current sponsor of the event. This championship rugby competition is actually a successor to the popular 5 Nations championship which served as the first rugby championship in the Northern Hemisphere.

The rugby team who wins the Six Nations is considered the European Champions until the next competition commences. the 2011 title was won in March by England who unseated France as 2010′s champions. The beginning of the competition consists of each team playing every other team one time. Teams are then dwindled down depending on who wins each game until the final two teams are left standing.

The winner of the final game can take the title as champions. The games are very popular in the UK and worldwide, making it a fun sport to bet on. In fact the Six Nations competition accommodates online betting odds for your convenience. You won’t believe how much action and excitement comes along with a competition like this.
